Please stop sending weapons to Israel. Too many innocent people have died.
Please read this story:
"We met a Palestinian family today who were evacuate d from Gaza to Chicago for their two children, Jehad and Jana, for medical treatment. We were hosted by our good friend Saif at his home where we got to meet the family and hear their stories.
We were standing outside with Jehad, the youn g boy. He's 8 years old, is hilarious, loves football, and talks like an adult. A plane flew by, his eyes widened and fear filled his eyes. He asked us in arabic, "is that a war plane?"
We reassured him that it was just a regular pl ane, like the one he flew to Chicago. Another one flew by 5 seconds after, he asked, "how about that one?"
We told him not to worry for there are never warplanes here. He didn't understand h ow we live without destruction and fear.
We stayed silent. Tears filled my eyes as I blankly looked up to the sky of commercial planes.
Jehad can't use the bathroom alone because an airstrike hit his home while he was in the bathroom. So he fears bathrooms. Everywhere else in the house, he can go to alone. Just not the bathroom.
These children are traumatized beyond belief."
