Protect women

To: Sen. Fetterman, Sen. McCormick, Rep. Thompson

From: A constituent in Templeton, PA

March 5

The president's executive order banning transgender women and girls from participating in women's sports is misguided and discriminatory. Transgender women are women. They should have the same rights and opportunities to compete in sports as any other woman. This order perpetuates harmful myths, stigmatizes an already marginalized community, and denies transgender athletes the ability to pursue their passions on a level playing field. Policies governing athletic participation should be based on current scientific evidence and an understanding of gender identity, not baseless fear-mongering or ideological agendas. I urge you to speak out against this unjust order and protect the rights of all women, including transgender women, to fully participate in sports according to their gender identity. Discrimination has no place in athletics or society.
