Hello, I'm writing to demand that all leadership posted at the U.S. consulate and U.S. embassy in occupied Palestine be immediately terminated for dereliction of duty. Chris Smalls—an American citizen who has fearlessly advocated for the rights of Palestinians under attack by the entity calling itself Israel—was illegally detained, brutalized, and held hostage in extreme heat without ventilation for 5 days. During that time and even after his release, no U.S. officials visited him or ensured his safe return. This is a deeply shameful failure, and embassy and consulate leadership MUST be held accountable for their inaction.
