Fully fund National Park Service to protect public lands

To: Sen. Collins, Rep. Pingree, Sen. King

From: A verified voter in South Portland, ME

July 14

The Trump administration's proposed budget cuts threaten to force the closure of 350 out of 433 national park sites, depriving Americans of cherished public lands. Reduced staffing amid climate challenges like wildfires and heat emergencies will lead to deteriorating visitor experiences and safety risks. Reject cuts undermining the National Park Service's ability to maintain and protect these invaluable natural and cultural treasures for present and future generations. The parks deserve proper funding and stewardship.
