Free 16 year old USA citizen Muhammad Ibrahim from Illegal Israeli imprisonment

To: Rep. Gomez, Sen. Padilla, Sen. Schiff

From: A constituent in Los Angeles, CA

August 6

I am writing to you regarding the urgent case of Muhammad Zaher Ibrahim, a 16-year-old Palestinian-American who has been detained by Israeli authorities since February of this year. Muhammad was arrested at his family's home in the occupied West Bank when he was just 15 years old, and has since been held in Megiddo Prison in Israel. His family has been unable to visit or communicate with him since his arrest, and reports indicate that he has lost a significant amount of weight and is suffering from a skin infection. The denial of visitation and communication rights is a violation of basic human rights and due process, and raises serious concerns about Muhammad's well-being. As a concerned citizen, I urge you to use your position of influence to pressure the Israeli government to release Muhammad or provide him with a fair and transparent trial. The United States has a responsibility to protect the rights of its citizens, and to stand up against human rights violations wherever they occur. I also urge you to work with your colleagues in Congress and the State Department to prioritize Muhammad's case and to ensure that the US government is doing everything in its power to secure his release and protect his rights. Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter. Sincerely
