My representative needs to demand answers from this administration about what the endgame is in Iran. Trump launched a military campaign with no clear objectives, no allied coordination, and no plan — and now Iran controls the Strait of Hormuz while gas prices sit at nearly $4.50 a gallon and consumer sentiment has hit an all-time low. That is not a winning position. That is a policy failure happening in real time.
The public deserves to know what a resolution actually looks like. The reported settlement — lifting sanctions on Iranian oil, unfreezing potentially $100 billion in Iranian assets, a ceasefire with Hezbollah — collapsed almost immediately, with Iran denying nuclear concessions and Republican senators Cruz, Graham, and Wicker all rejecting the terms. Meanwhile, the Strait closure is driving food insecurity for hundreds of millions of people globally. Congress cannot sit on the sidelines while the administration cycles through vague announcements and reversals with no accountability. Hold hearings. Demand a strategy. Do your job.
