The safety of our cities and nation is a shared responsibility. I'm calling on state and federal leaders to help get us back on track.
The threats we face are serious and growing, yet the Trump administration focuses on political distractions instead of addressing urgent dangers. Recent events include a bombing at a fertility clinic in Palm Springs, the arrest of two Chinese nationals smuggling a biological pathogen, a deadly truck attack in New Orleans inspired by ISIS, and an arson at the governor’s residence in Pennsylvania. These are acts of domestic and foreign terrorism.
Instead of strengthening our defenses, the administration targets student visa holders, demonizes immigrants, and uses the DOJ against political rivals.
We need leaders who recognize these threats and act accordingly. It's time to rebuild trust, restore nonpartisan institutions, and direct our resources toward real dangers.
Please stand up for our safety and democracy.
