I've stopped knocking on doors for democrats. If you call for desperately needed Supreme Court Reform, I'll knock on doors for you again. Each election cycle I have faithfully donated at least one full day a week, and often my entire weekend from mid August to election day, to turn out the vote for all Democrats. And while, of course you have my vote because the alternative is so terrifying, the Supreme Court has caused lasting and foundational damage to our democracy. The most recent ruling on Presidential immunity virtually guarantees a “president” Putin in the very near future. And the ruling was made including two justices who have Clear conflict of interest, as well as obvious corrupt dealings with conservative millionaires. With the proper ethics codes, and enforcement mechanisms in place, Thomas and Alito would be required to recuse, a more patriotic justice may have been convinced to deny Trump a kingship, and our democracy may have a chance. It is imperative Supreme court reform be a first day priority. I do hope to knock doors again soon for you.
