I am contacting you to demand immediate legislative action to completely ban the use of Directed Energy Weapons (DEWs) and high-powered microwave technologies against civilian populations, both domestically and internationally. Defense initiatives like Project Meridian are fast-tracking autonomous AI and Directed Energy Weapons for the battlefield. However, prominent watchdogs—including Human Rights Watch, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), and Physicians for Human Rights—are already aggressively challenging the legality of these devices. They warn that because microwave and millimeter-wave weapons are silent, invisible, and pass directly through building walls, they are inherently indiscriminate. They pose immediate, untraceable threats to public safety, civilian medical devices like pacemakers, and long-term neurological health. History proves that battlefield technologies inevitably bleed into domestic law enforcement as crowd-control tools. We must establish an absolute legal boundary before these weapons are normalized against everyday citizens. I urge you to introduce and support legislation that explicitly prohibits domestic police departments from acquiring these devices, completely cuts municipal and federal funding for anti-personnel radiation weaponry, and joins international efforts to ban their deployment entirely.
