CECOT is a travesty of human rights

CECOT in El Salvador is not a prison. It is a death camp. It violates so many basic human rights that it should not exist at all. Yet we are now paying the Salvadorean government to house immigration detainees there. ("House" is an ugly joke in this context.) We must not only stop sending anyone to CECOT, we should release the individuals we've already sent there. All of them. Every single one. Then, we should force the Salvadorean government to shut it down. That's what any humane, moral, and decent person, organization, or government would do.
