Accountability and Impeachment of Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth
To: Rep. McDonald Rivet
From: A constituent in Davison, MI
December 4
I am writing to you as a deeply concerned constituent. Your voters are demanding immediate action regarding the recent incident in which the U.S. military reportedly performed a “double tap” strike on a boat despite no confirmed threat of danger. If these reports are accurate, this action constitutes a clear violation of international law and a potential war crime.
This cannot become the norm for our country. The United States must uphold the highest standards of conduct, both to honor our values and to maintain the trust of the international community. Allowing such actions to go unaddressed would permanently damage the world’s perception of our nation and weaken our moral leadership.
For these reasons, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth must be impeached and held fully accountable. Our nation cannot allow leadership that tolerates or enables unlawful military conduct.
I am urging you to take immediate steps to pursue impeachment proceedings and ensure a transparent investigation. Accountability is not optional—our integrity as a nation depends on it.
Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter. I expect to see strong action from my elected representatives.
