Congressional inquiry needed on DOGE's security breach endangering intelligence

To: Rep. Gosar, Pres. Trump, Sen. Kelly, Sen. Gallego

From: A verified voter in Buckeye, AZ

February 15

The revelation that Elon Musk's DOGE team has posted classified information from the National Reconnaissance Office on its website is a gross violation of national security protocols. Sensitive details about the size, budget and personnel of an intelligence agency responsible for designing and operating America's spy satellites have been recklessly exposed. This egregious breach compromises ongoing intelligence operations and gives potential adversaries insight into U.S. capabilities. It is deeply concerning that Musk's private employees, lacking proper training and clearances, have been able to access and disseminate classified data so easily. This flagrant disregard for information security cannot be tolerated. Stringent safeguards are in place to protect national intelligence assets for good reason - the safety of Americans depends on it. DOGE must be held accountable for jeopardizing critical security measures through its careless actions. An immediate Congressional inquiry should be launched to determine the full extent of the data breach, identify how the classified information was obtained, and ensure all compromised data is removed from public access. Furthermore, DOGE's operations must be suspended pending a comprehensive review to preclude any future unauthorized disclosures that could undermine national security. The American people deserve answers and assurances that our intelligence capabilities will be properly secured moving forward.
