The disingenuously named SAVE Act is voter suppression. Period. Save us from it.

To: Sen. Husted, Sen. Moreno, Pres. Trump, Rep. Balderson

From: A verified voter in Reynoldsburg, OH

July 19

Vote against the SAVE Act. This bill doesn't protect elections, it shuts eligible Americans out of them. Over 21 million citizens lack ready access to passports or birth certificates. Millions of women whose married names don't match their birth documents would be blocked. Younger voters and voters of color would be hit hardest. That's not a side effect — that's the point. There is no problem here to solve. The Trump administration's own findings, plus state-level investigations in Louisiana, Utah, and other states confirm that illegal voting is vanishingly rare. Only American citizens vote. The SAVE Act manufactures a crisis to justify stripping voting rights from real constituents. The Senate version even punishes citizens in states that refused to hand voter rolls to the Trump administration — rolls that DOGE operatives already tried to share with a group working to overturn election results. My vote matters. My neighbors' votes matter. Reject the SAVE Act.
