First, I'm writing to urge the Senator to oppose H.R. 7567, the Farm Bill, unless it is amended to: allow USDA funding for solar panels and help farmers to access affordable renewable energy, reverse devastating SNAP funding cuts, and remove the Save Our Bacon Act to protect animal welfare and food safety. Also, I’m really upset about the Supreme Court gutting the Voting Rights Act and allowing states to deny minority populations fair representation. Please ask the Senator to speak out against this clearly political attack on our democracy and protect our constitutional rights by supporting the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, reintroducing the Freedom to Vote Act, supporting a federal ban on partisan gerrymandering, and supporting measures to reform the Supreme Court— like term limits, court expansion, and limits on the use of shadow docket rulings.
