I am dismayed that X, formerly known as Twitter, has suspended the account White Dudes for Harris. Twitter under Elon Musk’s leadership has a history of suspending and being unreliable in performance for accounts that support Democratic and progressive candidates and causes. This is an extreme threat to our democracy. We need to have unbiased and independent media and freedom of speech. Just as Congress had investigations on a reported, left wing bias in social media, Congress needs to initiate investigations on the right wing bias of X. I also suspect that both SpaceX and Tesla, for its battery division, are receiving some government contracts. I would like to have a full accounting of how much money Elon Musk companies are receiving from taxpayers. We should not be funding the world richest man in his quest to create an autocracy .
