Republicans own this shut down. You are the majority in the House, Senate, and the Executive. You run the government. You cannot blame the Democrats for the Republicans failure to lead and reach a deal. It is a sign of weakness to not take responsibility. You must work with democrats and compromise on healthcare. They are NOT asking for coverage for illegal aliens. They are insisting on extending the Obamacare tax credits - something you claim to care about. You say you will do it later. When is later? Time runs out this year! Why not now? How do we know you will prioritize your constituent’s concerns when you haven’t so far! Work out a deal with democrats and open the government!
