The CDC completed a study showing Covid vaccines cut hospitalizations by 55% and ER visits by 50% in healthy adults. It passed scientific review. Acting CDC Director Jay Bhattacharya blocked publication. He cited methodology concerns. The CDC published a flu vaccine study using the exact same methodology one week earlier. The New England Journal of Medicine has used it for years. The only thing different about this study is that its findings conflict with HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who called Covid vaccines “the deadliest vaccine ever made.” Kennedy fired all 17 members of the CDC’s vaccine advisory committee. A judge ruled most replacements were unqualified. The new panel scrapped Covid vaccine recommendations for children and pregnant women. It reversed decades-old guidance on hepatitis B vaccines for newborns. Three senior CDC leaders resigned in protest. One said the study was buried because its message “is not in line with the direction you’ve been taking.” Demand publication of the suppressed study. Hold hearings on political interference at the CDC. Pass legislation requiring completed peer-reviewed CDC research to be published without political sign-off. Restore the advisory committee members the court said were improperly replaced. A man who built his career fighting vaccines is now deciding which vaccine research Americans get to see.
