please do not ban new yorkers from being able to wear masks

To: Gov. Hochul, Sen. Tedisco, Assembly Member Walsh

From: A constituent in Waterford, NY

July 2

The right to wear masks on public transit is an important matter of public health and personal freedom. A mask mandate serves to protect vulnerable populations and frontline workers from potential virus exposure. Prohibiting masks would disregard expert guidance and put many at increased risk. I urge you to maintain existing mask policies on transit systems to uphold community well-being and individual choice regarding personal protective measures. Masks remain a vital tool against virus transmission, and all should have the option to wear them without obstruction.
