Demand that Senator Gary peters oppose HR 22, the save act
To: Sen. Peters
From: A constituent in Macomb, MI
April 18
This bill would require proof of United States citizenship to register to vote in federal elections, which raises significant concerns about disenfranchising eligible voters and creating unnecessary barriers to the fundamental right to vote. Senator Peters has the opportunity to stand up for free and fair elections by opposing this legislation. Many constituents have lost faith that he will protect their voting rights and uphold democratic values. This bill must not pass, as it threatens to undermine the integrity of our elections and silence the voices of the people. Senator Peters should reject this misguided attempt to restrict voting access and work instead to strengthen democracy by making it easier for all eligible citizens to exercise their constitutional right to vote.
