Stop Scapegoating & Rhetoric, Start Governing With Courage & Truth

You are repeating history. Just as Weimar-era oligarchs empowered Adolf Hitler, believing they could control his rise, today’s leaders are enabling authoritarian power under the guise of security and patriotism. As The Atlantic reminds us, “They wanted the Frankenstein they could control, but the monster had other ideas.” Your votes to funnel billions into ICE for mass deportation, while slashing funds for domestic terrorism prevention, cybercrime units, and educational programs mirror that same fatal error. You aren’t safeguarding America. You are sowing the seeds of rhetoric, lies, and division. Enough pandering to fear-based politics. Public opinion is clear: most Americans oppose mass deportations and instead favor investment in mental health, infrastructure, and justice systems. By scapegoating immigrants and marginalized communities, you weaken our democracy and fracture our national identity. Historians stress that democracies die from within, not from foreign enemies but from internal decay: George Santayana warned, “Those who don’t remember history are condemned to repeat it.” This is your moment to choose. Defend democracy or dismantle it. Support humane immigration reform. Fund real security. Stand with the American people!
