Prioritize reinvestment in public education over privatization efforts.

School choice policies rooted in racism and inequality continue to undermine public education across the country. By siphoning funds away from traditional public schools, charter schools and voucher programs are dismantling the system despite a lack of evidence proving their superiority. The rhetoric of "choice" and "freedom" has masked a privatization agenda driven by business interests rather than what's best for students and communities. We must reject this discriminatory and destructive ideology. Public schools remain the cornerstone of an equitable society, providing high-quality education accessible to all children regardless of background. Reinvestment in our public education system is crucial to support educators, improve learning conditions, and ensure all students receive the robust curriculum and resources they deserve. Strengthening community engagement and coalitions at the local level can counteract privatization efforts and uphold public schools as true vehicles for empowerment and racial equity. The future of public education hinges on actively defending it against these misguided "choice" policies. I urge you to prioritize increasing funds for traditional public schools over expanding charter schools and voucher programs. Our students' success depends on this commitment to reinvigorate the public good over corporate profits.
