End U.S. Support for the War in Palestine

To: Sen. Peters, Sen. Slotkin, Rep. Dingell

From: A constituent in Ann Arbor, MI

July 24

I am writing to you as a deeply concerned constituent to urge you to take an unequivocal stand against the ongoing war in Palestine and the U.S. government’s continued support of it. The American people do not support this war. We do not support tens of thousands of Palestinians being killed, and we absolutely do not support the slow, deliberate starvation of millions more. Our tax dollars are being used to fund a war machine that operates without conscience. The Israeli government’s military campaign has left entire neighborhoods in ruins, destroyed hospitals, displaced families, and targeted civilians. This is not self-defense—it is mass destruction. It is a humanitarian catastrophe, and it is unfolding with American weapons and American dollars. Enough. The United States must end its unconditional military and financial support for Israel. No more weapons. No more billions in aid. No more blank checks for violence. If Israel cannot distinguish between military targets and children, homes, and aid workers, it has no place being treated as an ally. A country that destroys without regard for human life should not be rewarded with our resources, our support, or our silence. You were elected to represent the will of the people—not to enable war profiteers or foreign governments. We are watching. We are outraged. And we will not continue to fund a government that uses our money to support war crimes. Do not ask us to pay taxes while they are being funneled into a genocide. End U.S. military aid to Israel. Call for a permanent ceasefire. Support justice, not just power.
