Trump and his operatives have repeatedly abused federal power to attack and intimidate public officials like Governor Tony Evers and Judge Hannah Dugan for simply carrying out their lawful duties. This disturbing pattern constitutes criminal conduct under multiple federal statutes. By threatening Governor Evers with arrest for issuing legal guidance to state employees, Trump's allies criminally deprived him of his rights and conspired against his constitutional authority (18 U.S. Code §§ 242, 241, 371). Judge Dugan's arrest for a routine courtroom ruling obstructed justice, violated her rights, and amounted to an unlawful seizure lacking probable cause (18 U.S. Code §§ 1503, 242; 4th Amendment). The coordinated retaliation escalating from threats to actual detainment demonstrates a clear conspiracy to punish dissent (18 U.S. Code § 241). These actions are not just unethical abuses of power - they are felony violations of the very laws Trump claims to uphold. Accountability must apply equally. If the Trump administration genuinely believes in the rule of law, then federal prosecutors should immediately open criminal investigations into these illicit acts by the President's enforcers. Allowing further erosion of democratic checks and balances would be a travesty of justice.
