Support of Presidential impeachment

To: Sen. Slotkin, Rep. Thanedar, Sen. Peters

From: A constituent in Lincoln Park, MI

May 13

I am writing in support of the articles of impeachment against President Donald J. Trump, introduced by Congressman Shri Thanedar. I firmly believe that the President is guilty of all seven charges. Additionally, I find Stephen Miller’s claim that the executive branch can suspend habeas corpus to be extremely dangerous. While I understand that the executive does not have the legal authority to suspend habeas corpus, I fear they may attempt to do so. If they succeed in any capacity, it would dismantle the rule of law in this country. My concern stems from the increasing tactics used by ICE, including plainclothes officers in unmarked vehicles and others wearing generic "POLICE" uniforms. These actions create an environment where public safety can no longer be guaranteed, as any encounter could result in indefinite detention or worse without the opportunity to plead one's case. Furthermore, the President has exploited his "meme" coin as a covert means of receiving bribes facilitated through transactions and artificial inflation exchanging undisclosed favors in return. Additionally, the acceptance of a 747 from Qatar constitutes a blatant act of bribery, despite any claims to the contrary from the executive branch. This situation is not only dangerous due to the unknown concessions the U.S. may be offering in exchange, but also because the aircraft itself could pose a serious national security risk. If heavily compromised with surveillance mechanisms, it could serve as a covert intelligence asset, endangering sensitive operations and decision making at the highest levels.
