I urge you to oppose all funding for ICE unless clear, enforceable, systemic reforms are written into law, including: ICE agents are required to wear ID and take off their masks to conceal their identities when incidents occur. That ICE adopts and follows standards of professional policing its agents who kill, hurt, or unlawfully detain people are investigated and punished. It took public outcry for the agents involved in a recent shooting to even be put on leave. Immigration enforcement is an issue that needs dealing with. The current actions of ICE, its leadership, and agents is not how it should be handled. Hold them to account and withhold funding until these necessary reforms are put into place.
