I am appalled at the firing of Dr. Carla Hayden, the 14th Librarian of Congress, the first African American and the first woman to hold the office of Librarian of Congress. By all reports, she was creative, competent, and a joy to work with. We can only guess that her failings are to be black and female. This is yet another example of the Trump regime usurping the powers of Congress with intentional cruelty. I know you are as outraged as I am, so I write today to urge continued strong opposition through all methods you have. Thank you.
