I am deeply disturbed—in fact quite alarmed—by President Trump’s takeover of DC law enforcement and the deployment of military personnel to enforce his supposed mission of crime control. It’s hard not to imagine a longer-term plan to normalize seeing military on our city streets and to create a structure for the suppression of dissent. I strongly urge you to raise your voice against this text book autocratic play and to use your office gives you to interrupt it. Thank you.
