I am a constituent writing to demand absolute legislative opposition to the expansion of centralized data networks and fusion centers within Michigan. We, the people, do not want these integrated surveillance and information grids in our state. They present a clear and present danger to our communities, our environment, and the safety of our children.
First, massive data consolidation hubs cause severe, documented environmental degradation through staggering energy consumption, massive water resource depletion for cooling systems, and localized ecological strain. No corporation should be permitted to compromise Michigan's natural resources and public health to build invasive digital networks that operate outside strict federal safety and FDA guidelines.
Second, the unchecked merging of public, financial, and social monitoring systems into centralized fusion networks creates an unaccountable web of surveillance. This systemic profiling threatens to trap citizens in predatory, debt-leveraged frameworks and creates unprecedented biosecurity vulnerabilities through unmonitored data synthesis.
Finally, we demand absolute protections for minors against systemic digital tracking and exploitation. Michigan must refuse to cooperate with any interstate frameworks or jurisdictions that compromise child safety or lower the age of consent.
I urge you to protect our people and our environment by banning the expansion of centralized data fusion centers immediately.
