An Open Letter

Subject: The Time for Silence Has Passed — Demand for Impeachment and Resistance I am writing to you as a deeply concerned American citizen who can no longer remain silent in the face of the escalating authoritarianism under the current Trump administration. The unchecked abuses of power, blatant disregard for democratic norms, and open embrace of fascist tactics are not just troubling — they are dangerous. Even more disturbing is the deafening silence and lackluster response from many Democratic leaders who were elected precisely to safeguard our democratic institutions. We are witnessing a brazen assault on the Constitution, the rule of law, civil liberties, and the very fabric of American democracy — and yet, your resistance has been tepid at best. This is not politics as usual. This is a five-alarm fire. History will remember this moment. It will ask: What did you do when democracy was slipping away? And right now, too many in power are doing far too little. I am demanding the immediate pursuit of impeachment proceedings against Donald Trump for his repeated and escalating abuses of power. I am also calling on you and your colleagues to speak out — loudly, clearly, and consistently — against the authoritarian rhetoric and actions we are seeing from this administration. This is not the time for quiet negotiations or backroom calculations. This is the time for moral courage, for vocal leadership, and for decisive action. If you are not willing to stand up now, when will you? Do not let fear or political convenience guide your response. The American people need you to rise to the moment — to fight for the soul of this nation.
