TVA needs expertise on its board of directors, not pro-privatization auctioneers. Trump has nominated five new board members to TVA who will make important decisions that will impact the economy, electricity prices, air and water quality, and public lands access for years to come. Unfortunately, these nominees could work to advance Trump’s pro-privatization agenda and are largely unqualified with some having deeply concerning personal and professional histories. If a new board manages to sell off TVA’s assets: Our electric bills would go up Highly-trained union workers would lose good-paying jobs Nearly 300,000 acres of public land that TVA manages for camping, hiking, fishing and hunting could be privatized
