You must stand up to the unconstitutional overreach of Donald Trump. The United States is a constitutional republic, not a monarchy, not a dictatorship. Recent executive orders, thankfully now stayed by a judge’s injunction, are starkly ILLEGAL and UNCONSTITUTIONAL. The power of the purse is solely that of Congress, not the President! Between today’s debacle and the sewer clown parade of highly unqualified candidates for cabinet posts, please know that your constituents, and I am included among those, are watching closely what you do. You can say whatever you want, but we are watching what you DO! We will push back and voice our dissent—repeatedly—when you veer from constitutional law & norms, the rule of law as a whole, established legal and judicial precedent, put forward extremist candidates, or attempt to impose the Project 2025 agenda. My relatives did not serve in all branches of the US military during World War II and other conflicts to bow down to a would-be dictator who was a draft dodger and is a convicted felon! We are judged by our Creator on how we treat those who are marginalized and vulnerable—children, women, immigrants, the disabled, the poor, veterans, people of color, LGBTQ+, senior citizens, those affected by natural disasters, war, and climate change. This administration‘s attack on the health and well-being of our citizens, especially our veterans, is reprehensible to me. The disdain for all Americans (except rich white men & corporations) is clear in the policies & orders being put forward. If you act against the common good of the American people & our allies around the world, then you are complicit with the evil, illegal activities of this administration. Know that I, and others like me, will continue to resist this extremist overreach, and we are holding each member of Congress accountable for what they do & how they vote!
