The SAVE Act Undermines the Constitution and Expands Bureaucracy As a voting constituent dedicated to Constitutional principles, I urge you to oppose the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act. While securing our elections is a paramount duty, it is not the role of the federal government. This legislation compromises the foundational tenets of American liberty: limited government, fiscal responsibility, and federalism. Article I, Section 4 of the Constitution explicitly empowers states to manage the times, places, and manner of holding elections. The SAVE Act represents an unprecedented federal overreach, imposing sweeping mandates that infringe upon states' rights and strip local authorities of their constitutional autonomy. Local communities, not Washington bureaucrats, govern their own affairs. Furthermore, this bill creates a massive, costly federal administrative apparatus. Forcing citizens to navigate complex bureaucratic hurdles, just to exercise their fundamental right to vote, is antithetical to the ideals of minimal government interference. It burdens legal voters with red tape while expanding the size and scope of the federal state. Uphold the Constitution, reject federal overreach, and vote NO on the SAVE Act.
