To: My Elected Officials I am writing to remind you of the fundamental purpose of your office: your primary job is to protect and uphold the inalienable rights of the people you serve. As stated in the foundational principles of our nation, rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness do not come from the government. They are inherent to our humanity. The sole reason government institutions are created is to secure and protect these rights, not to infringe upon them, sell them to the highest corporate bidder, or restrict them under the guise of bureaucratic efficiency. Today, we are witnessing a systematic failure of this duty. When state and federal resources are funneled into corporate subsidies and foreign defense contracts while regular citizens struggle to access basic survival needs—including clean water, healthcare, safe housing, and food—our fundamental right to life and liberty is directly threatened. A free society cannot stand when its leaders prioritize special interests over human dignity. I demand that you realign your legislative priorities, budgets, and policies to protect individual autonomy, respect constitutional limits, and directly fund the foundational needs of our local communities. You govern only by the consent of the people. It is time to act like it. Stop the overreach and fulfill your duty to uphold our inalienable rights
