Stop Japan from exporting critical war technology to Russia

To: Sen. Bennet, Rep. Pettersen, Sen. Hickenlooper

From: A verified voter in Indian Hills, CO

August 14

I just heard on the podcast The Daily a report by Jane Bradley of the New York times about key materials that Russia is getting through Japan that are critical for its execution of its war against Ukraine. I need you to exercise whatever leverage you can through international diplomatic channels, Congressional investigations and reports, bills, resolutions, whatever efforts you can do to convince Japan to stop the trade that is enabling Russia's war against the innocent long-suffering ukrainians. Japan is a strong ally and economic partner of the US and has no business supplying critical elements that enable the Russian war machine to exercise its illegal war. Not only that, but Japan is in a unique position with the kind of high-tech materials. It is passing on to Russia to almost single-handedly cripple, Russia's, unjust and illegal war. It shouldn't take a lot to convince Japan to crack down on this illegal practice that it is turning a blind eye too. Please exercise all of your power to free the Ukrainian people from this unjust and devastating war by making sure that Japan does the right thing.
