Sen. Durbin your vote to capitulate to Republicans is shameful! And, Sen. Duckworth your lack of capability to hold your colleagues accountable is pathetic. Negotiating for a vote you will lose is the same as negotiating for nothing. Your demands at the start of the shutdown were simple and the bare minimum when dealing with a faction that has consistently negotiated in bad faith. Your actions today as senators have broken my trust in you representing the people's interests. To have any hope of restoring our trust you must call for Sen Schumer to step down from leadership as he is clearly incapable of acting as a true opposition leader. All senators that have caved should be punished, voted out of office, and stripped of committee positions. What will you do to publicly denounce these cowards and show that you will fight for the people? Because right now all I see is a failure to lead that will lead to people dying from lack of food and healthcare
