Urge Biden to drop out of 2024 Presidential Race

To: Sen. Duckworth, Sen. Durbin, Rep. Jackson

From: A constituent in Manhattan, IL

July 6

I am writing as your constituent to urge you to call on President Biden to reconsider his candidacy for the 2024 Presidential Race. While I have been mostly satisfied with the job President Biden has done over the past four years, I no longer feel confident in his ability to defeat Donald Trump in November. Given the significant stakes of this election, I believe we cannot risk the possibility of Donald Trump returning to the White House. President Biden has accomplished much during his tenure, including efforts to manage the COVID-19 pandemic, revitalizing the economy, and making strides in infrastructure and climate change initiatives. However, recent polls and public sentiment indicate that many voters are concerned about his age and overall ability to campaign vigorously. The 2024 election is crucial for the future of our country. Issues such as climate change, healthcare, voting rights, and social justice require strong, effective leadership. It is imperative that the Democratic Party presents a candidate who can not only continue President Biden’s positive policies but also energize the electorate and build a broad coalition to ensure victory. I urge you to consider the broader implications of this election and advocate for a candidate who can secure a decisive win against Donald Trump. Our democracy, and the progress we have made over the past four years, depends on it.
