I am writing to demand immediate action in response to President Trump’s unauthorized military strikes on Iran. Congress holds the power to declare war, not the president. Yet the administration has launched the US into armed conflict without congressional authorization, putting our servicemembers, American civilians, and Iranian civilians in danger. The American people do not want another endless war in the Middle East. We have seen the human, moral, and financial costs of unilateral regime-change wars. We cannot allow history to repeat itself. You have both the authority and the responsibility to act. I urge you to: • Publicly call for an immediate halt to further military action. • Expedite, support, and advance a War Powers Resolution to require congressional approval for continued hostilities. • Oppose any funding for unauthorized military escalation. • Demand full transparency and accountability from the administration. Will you uphold your constitutional duty and use every lever available to rein in this administration and prevent further escalation?
