Impeach Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth

To: Sen. Blackburn, Sen. Hagerty, Rep. Kustoff

From: A constituent in Brownsville, TN

September 2

Impeach Pete Hegseth. He has gutted the Pentagon's leadership at a moment when the country can least afford it, and Congress needs to act. Since Hegseth took over, at least 20 generals, admirals, and civilian defense leaders have been fired or pushed out — including Army Secretary Dan Driscoll, the Army Chief of Staff, the Chief of Naval Operations, and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs. CBS News reporting shows Black and female officers have been disproportionately removed from promotion lists. There are currently zero active-duty four-star women in uniform. This isn't reform. It's a purge driven by culture war politics, not military readiness. Even Sen. Thom Tillis, who voted to confirm Hegseth, called this "the most inept management" of the military he has witnessed in eight years on the Senate Armed Services Committee. If a Republican senator with that record is saying Hegseth is "intimidated by competence," the case is clear. The Pentagon cannot function with a leadership void at the top during active conflicts. Start impeachment proceedings now.
