The Special Government Employee Shouldn’t Be
To: Sen. Warnock, Sen. Ossoff

The “Special Government Employee” Elon Musk is still at it trying to circumvent Balance of Power, and even doing deeds of which Trump is not aware at the time, to circumvent rules, regulations, laws, anything except doing what he wants to enrich his own Big Business associates and himself. I was a 33-year Federal Civilian employee for the Department of Defense, handling sensitive data and obeying the laws and my agency’s accountability to Congress, and respecting the Rule of Law established by our Judiciary, even as we worked under the authority of the Executive Branch. And I am telling you that if I had tried anything during the execution of my duties as a taxpayer-funded public servant with a TS/SI clearance, anything like what Elon Musk has done and is doing, sometimes with Trump’s approval and sometimes without his knowledge … I don’t have to finish that sentence because you, my Senators, KNOW FULL WELL what the consequences would have been. But we treat even whistleblowers, who uncover abuses, worse than we treat loyalists and their cronies, who present a domestic threat to us every day. One of them is an uncleared Special Government Employee working to destroy our government’s ability to govern from within, in the falsely cited name of Government Efficiency, for a Convicted Felon that our Justice and Defense Departments failed us by not doing their jobs to keep off the ballot so as to keep us from foreign as well as domestic harm. You have a Constitutional duty, and you have moral imperatives that rise from the Federal oath you took, like I did. Elon Musk might actually have those duties, and those moral imperatives, but he no more wants to be restricted by them than Donald J. Trump does. And that means something. And what it DOESN’T mean is letting either of them continue sitting around enjoying the perks of Government office while causing us harm every day. So I as a retired govvie must ask you: What are your job duties going to include in the coming days? Will they include what will be of the greatest help, or will they simply alow some of the greatest harm we’ve ever seen to continue? What you choose will be evident to us.
