Before President Biden and Vice President Harris finish out their terms we have some very serious work to accomplish for the Safety and Welfare of Women in this United States of America. It is time, truly, long past time, to Formally Publish and Certify the ERA as the 28th Amendment of Our Constitution. The ERA cleared the threshold for ratification by 38 states during Trump’s first term of office when Virginia voted to Ratify the ERA on January 27, 2020, (Illinois had also Ratified the ERA during Trump’s 1st Term, which speaks volumes). Because of republican obstruction, the National Archivist has not yet formally published and certified the ERA as our 28th Amendment. By doing so now the Biden-Harris Administration can place imperitive guardrails on the upcoming Trump administration and give us essential tools for combating discrimination against women, girls, and LGBTQ+ people across America. Not to mention that this will leave a Legacy Bar None for themselves AND all Democrats in Office. As we move towards this Trump administration I strongly urge you to CALL ON Vice President Harris to Publish the Equal Rights Amendment IMMEDIATELY to enshrine gender equality in our Constitution. This is not just for the sake of women, girls, and LGBTQ+ people now, but for ALL of Humanity. What affects 50% of us, affects 100% of us.
