I'm writing to you as a disabled constituent who is currently experiencing serious and ongoing issues with receiving mail—issues that are putting my health and safety at risk.
Due to my disabilities, I rely on door delivery of mail for access to essential, often life-sustaining items, including prescription medications, respiratory equipment, and food. Despite following the official process to request door delivery, I have encountered persistent and unresolved problems that I hope you can help address.
Here is a timeline of my efforts:
March 12 – I submitted a formal request for door delivery exception.
April 5 – I created Case #76572095 regarding continued lack of door delivery. I received no response.
April 14 – I created a second case, #76834315, due to no reply to my first case. Again, I received no response.
May 1 – I visited my local post office and was told by a staff member named Betty that door delivery was now set up.
May 3 – I received mail for the last time.
May 15 – I opened Case #77905203 after receiving no mail for 12 days, despite Informed Delivery showing items have been delivered.
This situation is untenable. I am doing everything I can within the system, and yet I am not receiving my mail. I'm reaching out for your assistance to ensure that USPS fulfills its legal and ethical obligations to disabled residents like myself.
Please help ensure that I, and others in similar situations, receive the reliable mail service we depend on to survive.
