It's time to IMPEACH and REMOVE Donald Trump and make decisions about spending that serve the good of your constituents and foster our collective well being as well as the chances for future generations to thrive. The cost of Trump's catastrophic war of choice in Iran and his vanity projects in DC is untenable and unconscionable--and the projects are illegal. As to his war of choice in Iran: remember how people screamed about Obama releasing $400 million in frozen funds plus $1.3 billion in interest to Iran? And now as a "peace deal" Trump will be giving Iran more than 10 times that. How is that okay? What about the cost per day of that mismanaged war of choice and war crimes?? That war was not necessary, it involved war crimes perpetrated by the US, and it has left the world WORSE than before. For how many billions???? The budget for ICE is also untenable and unconscionable. ICE gets more money than most country's military; agents lie, break the law and violate the constitution. Do something, please, about ICE before historians write about the concentration camps, ethnic cleansing, rapes, abuse, or, God forbid, mass graves. Right now you are required to evaluate laws according to fiscal rules via the Office for budget responsibility. But there is no requirement to assess legislation based on whether it promotes the well being of people and the planet. There should be. We hold the planet and its resources in trust. Yet your colleagues seem not to have the words guardianship or stewardship in their vocabulary. Please take a lesson from Wales: "Wales just did something truly revolutionary: they passed a law making it legally binding for public bodies to consider the wellbeing of people who aren't even alive yet. Imagine every decision made today - from healthcare to housing to environmental policy - legally required to think generations ahead. That's exactly what Wales has implemented with its "Well-being of Future Generations Act." It's the first law of its kind in the world, mandating that all public organizations in Wales must actively work towards improving the social, economic, environmental, and cultural well-being for future generations. This isn't just a guideline; it's a legally enforceable framework, with a dedicated *Future Generations Commissioner* to hold them accountable. It's an unprecedented step towards long-term, sustainable decision-making, forcing leaders to think beyond short-term political cycles." Yes: Wales has a *Future Generations Commissioner*. And we should too. At the very least, every elected official should be thinking of the future not just their indebtedness to donors and vulnerability in the next election cycle. Please reply to let me know how you will use this inspiring example from Wales to guide policy and legislation
