Place constraints on ICE now

To: Sen. Gillibrand, Rep. Tonko, Sen. Schumer

From: A constituent in Burnt Hills, NY

January 22

I am writing to you about the atrocities that are happening in Minnesota and other places at the hands of ICE. I know the majority of the country is in agreement. Therefore, I STRONGLY urge you to use the appropriations process to place constraints on what ICE is allowed to do. Including at least the following: -Do not allow them to wear masks. -Require a judicial warrant to detain individuals. -Increase and require better training. -Do not allow them to enter schools or churches. These are all reasonable requirements that can be included in the appropriations and within your power. I look forward to seeing you use your power to stop the nonsense that we are all seeing now everyday.
