The Shield of the Americas isn't about keeping Americans safe. It's about building a fortress that keeps inconvenient humans out while giving the administration military justification to act aggressively throughout the hemisphere, with minimal congressional oversight and maximum Kristi Noem energy. This is the woman who tried to brand Alex Pretti and Renee Good as domestic terrorists. Handing her the ability to define "security threats" any way she sees fit is a recipe for genocide. Demand transparency and congressional oversight of the Shield of the Americas before it becomes another rubber-stamped atrocity.
