Two months out from critical midterm elections, the Democratic Party leadership is not just self-sabotaging. It is committing political suicide. It is unconscionable that with so much at stake, leadership is openly alienating the very base they need to survive.
How are we expected to fight for you when your own leadership broadcasts that they will betray the principles they claim to uphold? There is no room for leadership that would prefer to collude with the opposition rather than engage with the people winning primaries on this side.
You are telling the working class that our demands for healthcare and dignity do not matter. Let this letter serve as a final warning. Support Medicare for All unconditionally, or make room for leadership that will.
