Publicly Denounce Remarks Suggesting Attacks on American Cities

To: Sen. Slotkin, Sen. Peters, Rep. James

From: A verified voter in Sterling Heights, MI

October 7

As your constituent, I'm alarmed by Donald Trump's recent Nebraska rally remarks where he suggested letting an adversary "take out" Los Angeles and San Diego, calling it a small price to pay. A president's primary oath is to protect every American. Openly inviting, dismissing, or normalizing foreign attacks on major US population centers is reckless, dangerous, and unacceptable. Over 13 million people live in LA and San Diego, alongside key bases and thousands of service members. Treating them as expendable cannot be brushed off as rally banter or humor. Congress must check executive recklessness. Please publicly denounce these remarks, support measures condemning this rhetoric, and reaffirm that no American community is expendable.
