Do Not Endorse the Genocide Threatened by the US President

To: Sen. Tuberville, Sen. Britt, Rep. Strong

From: A verified voter in Huntsville, AL

April 7

Today, the President of the United States threatened genocide. That isn't hyperbole, it wasn't metaphor, it cannot be hand-waved away by his supporters, including yourself. He said that "a whole civilization will die tonight." There can be no other meaning taken from such words. Any action in this war taken from this point forward must be understood as in support of genocide. That makes every person in the line of command and every person who has the ability to stop it complicit with genocide. Not just a war crime, but a crime against humanity. As a member of congress, you MUST speak out against such rhetoric, much less against any action taken toward making it more than a rhetorical flourish. Such words ought not be spoken by civilized human beings, much less the commander-in-chief of the United States. Do not let such words stand without taking steps to condemn them and the person who uttered them. The words are a betrayal of everything this country has ever stood for. Surely even you can see that. It's time to impeach and remove this madman. I call upon you to take a moral stand against genocide. By God, isn't that a low enough bar that even you can meet it?
