The proposal to transition leadership roles within the Department of Veterans Affairs to partisan political appointees is deeply concerning. The VA's noble mission of serving those who have served our nation should be carried out in a non-partisan manner free from political interference. Injecting partisan politics into an agency tasked with providing vital healthcare and other services to our veterans risks undermining its effectiveness and the trust veterans place in it. I urge you to reject any efforts to politicize the VA and instead focus on strengthening its ability to fulfill its critical responsibilities to our nation's heroes in an impartial way.
