I urge you to reconsider this destructive course of action and instead prioritize policies that promote free and fair trade. Open markets and economic cooperation benefit all nations involved. Dialogue and compromise, not escalating tariffs, are the path forward to resolving trade issues in a sustainable manner. The dumbest trade war in history, as the Wall Street Journal described it, must be halted before it inflicts further self-inflicted harm on the American economy and people.
