Repeal obscenity laws or narrow them down!

To: Rep. Carter, Sen. Warnock, Sen. Ossoff

From: A constituent in Hinesville, GA

October 30

I'm calling on you to repeal obscenity laws. For too long, obscenity laws have only been used to silence minorities, the press, activists and creators and almost always have to be enforced in conjunction with more effective laws, which only shows just how unnecessary they are. We have laws in place to protect women and kids, but they are not properly enforced. No one should go to jail for what they write, read, draw, or make unless it is proven that exploitation has taken place in the creation. Anthony Comstock has done more harm to society's vulnerable than Larry Flynt or Frank Zappa ever did.
